Great Bend -- Philip Joseph Staab, 17, died May 5, 1982 at his home in Great Bend. He was born June 14, 1964 at Hays.


He was a senior at Great Bend High School and resident of Great Bend for more than 12 years, having moved there from Russell. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Great Bend.


Survivors: father, Terry Staab, Great Bend; mother, Lois Staab, Great Bend; brother, David Michael, of the home; grandmother, Vica Kindernecht, Ellis.


Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Brantley-Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church; Father Charles Mazouch. Burial at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Ellis. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Friday until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
