She had been a resident of Warren County most of her life, residing in Pine and Adams Townships. She graduated from Pine Village High School and also from Madam Blaker's Teachers College in Indianapolis. She was a school teacher and taught in Warren County schools for 15 years. Prior to that, she taught in Sanagmon County, Ill. She was a member of the Pine Village United Methodist Church; a 50-year member of OES chapter No. 347, Pine Village; a past regent of Quibche Chapter D.A.R.; a member of the Indiana State Retired Teachers Association and the Fountain/Warren Retired Teachers Association.
Surviving, are: two sons, Tedd S. Speck, Pine Village; A. Jan. Speck, Lanesville; two daughters, Diane (B. D.) Campbell, Clifton Park, N.Y.; Linda (Stephen) Williams; Jacksonville, Mo.; eight grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) at Fisher Funeral Home, Williamsport, with the Rev. Randy Rhode officiating. Burial will be in Pine Village Cemetery.
