83, lifelong Mooresville resident, died February 4, 2012. Mrs. Goad was born March 26, 1928, in Mooresville, to the late George and Iva (Sawyers) Squires.
She had been employed at L.S. Ayres, Ward's Apparel and the former Mooresville Savings & Loan. Mrs. Goad loved attending the sporting events of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar J. Goad; siblings, Raymond Squires and Martha Brewer.
Survivors include her son, Ronald Goad (Barb Compton) of Indianapolis; daughter, Judith Smith (Walter) of Mooresville; grandchildren, Jennifer Montgomery, Kirk Smith, Michael Smith, Michelle Waugh, Geoffrey Goad, and Megan Goad; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
The graveside service will begin at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 9, in the Mooresville Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Newton will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Foundation of Morgan County.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory , Mooresville.
