Mrs. Ruby Ann Disney age 68 of Gray, KY departed this life on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the Knox Co. Hospital. She was the widow of Claude Disney and the daughter of Charlie and Mae (Higgins) Spurlock born to them on January 19, 1946 in Barbourville.
Mrs. Disney was a member of the Old Time Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband Claude Disney, her parents, Charlie and Mae Spurlock, a grandson Joseph Roop, two brothers, Jerry and Bill Spurlock and a sister, Bernice Pickard.
Left behind to mourn her passing, one son, Walter Lee Disney of Woodbine, KY, six daughters, Dora Ann Irvine and husband Tony of Ruckersville, Virginia, Joyce Hatfield and husband Dennis of Corbin, KY, Alice Patterson and husband Roger of Gray, Melinda Gail Roark and husband Eric of Roark, KY, Claudia Lynn Lawson and husband Jimmy of Keavy, KY and Tammy Renae' Foy and husband Charles of Charlottesville, Virginia, one sister, Pearl Wyatt of Gray, KY , two brothers, Ardie Spurlock and wife Patsy of Georgetown, KY and Mark Spurlock and wife Ann of Danville, Indiana, twenty one grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Mrs. Disney also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Disney will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home chapel on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 2:0 p.m. with Rev. Don Farmer officiating. Pallbearers will be, Kyron Disney, Josh Hatfield, Roger Patterson, Sean Sizemore, Roger Dewayne Patterson, Andrew Irvin, Matt Smith & Eric Roark. Mrs. Disney will be laid to rest in the Lawson Spurlock Cemetery at Gray, KY. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
