He and his wife Catherine Hawthorn were married on Dec.24,1919.They had 2 children;Dorothy Marie,and Donald Lee spurling.

Albert Spurling, son of Washington and Lydia Spurling, was born in Clermont Cty., March 28, 1880 and passed on January 28, 1944 at the age of 63 years and 10 months.

He was married to Catharine Hawthorn on December 24, 1919 at Wilmington, Ohio and this union was blessed with two children, Dorothy and Donald.

He moved to Franklin in 1926 where he has been employed ever since.

He was employed at Logan-Long at the time of his death.
He was a devoted husband and father. He loved his home and spent most of his spare time with his family. He never denied his family anything that was possible for him to provide.
He was generous and always lent his support to worthwhile community projects.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife: Mrs. Bert Spurling; two children: Dorothy Shaffer of Dayton and Donald (Pfc) at Kessler Field, Mississippi: four sisters: Mrs. Laura Hagedorn of Blanchester, Mrs. Martha Ann Osborne of Madeira, Mrs. Grace Hisey of Dayton, Mrs. Elizabeth Pell of Dayton; three brothers: Clyde of Blanchester, Lee of Centerville, Walter of Fayetteville and many other relatives and a host of friends.
