Agnes H. Sprouse Bowman, 87, of Crimora passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Front Royal. She was born May 17, 1923 in Basic City the daughter of the late William H. Sprouse and Mae I. McDaniel.
In addition to her parents Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Lloyd "Bob" Bowman Sr.
She is survived by her six children; Joyce A. Bowman-DeLaVega and her husband Nachi, Lloyd I. Bowman Jr. and his wife Ann, Charles W. Bowman and his wife Sharon, Linda M. Lucas, Sandra K. Davis and her husband Mitchell and Donna Rankin; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Connie Pleasants, Billy Sprouse, Irene Shifflett, Bobby Sprouse, Wayne Sprouse and Warren Sprouse and numerous nieces and nephews and a very special companion, Johnny Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M., Monday, November 8, 2010 in the Chapel of the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 961 Goose Creek Road, Fishersville conducted by Rev. Dee Flory. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P. M., Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the funeral home.
