Clara was the daughter of Joe Wright Carter and Annie Mytie Bridges. She was the fifth of eight children.
On December 20, 1919, in Hunt County, Texas she married Loran Hobson Sprinkle.
On July 23, 1933 Clara suffered a miscarriage also around the same time she stepped on a nail. On August 1, 1933 the onset of Lock Jaw began and on August 05, 1933 she went to her heavenly home.
Clara was the mother of six children.

MRS SPRINKLE DIES SATURDAY

WELL KNOWN HUNT COUNTY WOMAN DIES NORTH OF GREENVILLE SAT. NIGHT

Mrs. Clara Carter Sprinkle, wife of L. Hobson Sprinkle, passed away at 8:30 oclock Saturday night at the family home eight miles north of Greenville after an illines of 2 weeks duration.
Clara Carter was born on February 1, 1901 in the Merrick Community at which place she resided most of her life. She was married on December 20, 1919 to L. Hobson Sprinkle and to this union six children were born, Sybil, Jesse Jean, Dale, Doyle, Wilnetha and Dorothy Nell. She is also survived by her mother Mrs. Joe Carter, four brothers, Wilburn, Melivn and Eugene Carter, of Peniel and Earl Carter of the Merrick community, three sisters Mrs. Claude Willis, of Tidwell, Mrs Preston Frazier of Greenville, and Mrs. Jessie Ross of the Merrick community.
She was a kind Christian wife and mother, admired and loved by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 4:00 at the Money Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Zimmerman, pastor of the Jacobia Methodist church.
Active pallbearers will be cousins of the deceased; Milton Morgan, Herman Pierce, Edwin Carter, Lloyd Moser, Ray Carter and Hershel Bridges Honorary pallbearer
