Cora E. Isenberg of 702 Fifth Avenue, Huntingdon died Thursday, October 28, 1976 in the Huntingdon County Nursing Home. Mrs. Isenberg, 83, had been in failing health for the past year.
She was born May 5, 1893 in Alexandria, a daughter of Howard and Mary (Thompson) Sprankle. she was united in marriage to Elwood B. Isenberg who preceded her in death May 3, 1941.
Surviving are two sons: Horatio E. Isenberg, Elizabethtown R. D. 1 and Morrison M. Isenberg, Hesston R.D. There are four grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Lena States of McConnelstown.
The deceased was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Hesston.
For many years, Mrs. Isenberg was employed as a cook at Juniata College, a position from which she retired 18 years ago.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 31, at 2 p.m. from the Haverstock memorial home, McConnelstown. The Rev. Edward S. Gobrecht will officiate and interment will be made in the Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Haverstock memorial home on Saturday evening and on Sunday from 9 a.m. until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Isenberg's memory to the Huntingdon County Cancer Society.
