Diane Sprague Seawright, 77, resident of 106 Alex Way, wife of Robert E. "Bob" Seawright, passed away March 10, 2016, at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born August 10, 1938, in Providence, Rhode Island, she was a daughter of the late Ernest E. Sprague, Jr. and Evelyn Agnes McComb Sprague. She was a graduate of Warwick Veteran Memorial High School and the Kent County Memorial Hospital Nurses Program. Mrs. Seawright retired from the office of Dr. Richard Carter, Greenwood Ear, Nose and Throat, and was previously employed with Self Memorial Hospital.

A member of South Main Street Baptist Church, she was also a member of the Earline Shirley Sunday School Class of the church and was a former 1st grade Sunday School teacher and leader of the Royal Ambassadors.

She was predeceased by two children, Deborah B. Shepherd and Andrew E. Seawright.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday at South Main Street Baptist Church with Dr. Toby Frost officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home in Hunter's Creek and will receive friends in the Connecting Place of South Main Street Baptist Church from 1 to 2 Tuesday afternoon.

The body is at Blyth Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 12:30 Tuesday afternoon.
