She was the daughter of Albert and Mary (nee Becker) Spooner. Mildred graduated from Calumet High School in Chicago and during WWII she played softball for the Evergreen Park League. She and John were married on December 5, 1946, in Chicago. They moved to Lake Geneva where she was an active bowler at Lake Geneva Lanes. Mildred was survived by her loving husband; three daughters; two sons; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and three brothers.
