BAITY YADKINVILLE ~ Nell Spillman Baity Mar. 9, 1934 ~ Sept. 16, 2011 Nell Spillman Baity, 77, will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, passed away Friday, September 16, 2011. She was born March 9, 1934 in Yadkin County to the late Charlie and Christinia Eula Eddleman Spillman. Nell was kind and generous not only to her family and friends. She was a member of Courtney Baptist Church where she had previously taught Sunday school and headed the YWA. She worked as a secretary for the family tire company. She gave strong support to her family and friends which were also shared with her community and strangers alike. Nell made positive impact on all of the lives she touched through her outstanding character. She was a role model to those around her, and was always willing to offer a helping hand or simply a listening ear. Like the flowers Nell nurtured and cherished, so did she too her relationships with others. Through the many cards and letters she sent over the years to show her consideration, love, and concern, she kept those she knew and loved close to her heart as Nell did each of us. We will now keep her in our hearts. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Sam Spillman. Surviving are her husband, Charles "Bud" Lee Baity; children, Lee (Rodney) Casstevens, Bryan (Tammy) Baity; grandchildren, Michael Baity and Turner Baity; step grandchildren, Kristen Casstevens and Kirk Casstevens; brother, Lester (Betty) Spillman; special niece, Kathy Oakley; several cousins and other family members. Her Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Courtney Baptist Church by the Rev. Ricky Adkins, Rev. Jimmy Lancaster, Rev. Jesse McEwen, Gaither Markland, Jane Mundy, Shirley Whitaker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
