New London, NH - Dorothy Spiller Bischoff, 91, of Hilltop Place, New London died at The Clough Center in New London on November 7, 2009. She was born in Arlington, MA on June 6, 1918 to Robert Leroy Spiller and Lucille Choate. In 1941 she graduated from Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of Mercy Hathaway White Chapter of the DAR. During her years living in New London she had volunteered at the New London Hospital and was active in the New London Garden Club. She loved to travel in Europe and the Middle East during her husband's years of employment with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, J.A. Raoul Bischoff. Surviving her are sons, Peter Sargent Bischoff of Irmo, SC and Robert Choate Bischoff of Eagle River, Alaska; two grandchildren, Danielle and Robert of Alaska; niece Diana Bischoff Bock of Nottingtham, NH, and several other nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the New London Hospital, 273 County Road, New London, NH 03257.
