Mrs. Annie Bell Bennett Spikes, 93, died Sunday night (November 29, 2009) at her daughter's residence in Millwood.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County. She was a homemaker and charter member of Indian Mound Baptist Church and the Adult S. S. Class.

She is the daughter of the late Tom Bennett and Minnie Simmons Bennett. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Spikes.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Bennett (husband Lionell) of Millwood; two sons, Ronnie Spikes (wife Shannon) of Blackshear, and Donnie Spikes (wife Jan) of Waycross; one sister, Laura Carter of Athens; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday (December 2, 2009) at Indian Mound Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hargraves Chapel Cemetery in Millwood. The family will receive friends 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Music Funeral Home.
