Louise Murray Spigle Huffman, 99, of Roanoke, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2006. She was predeceased by her parents, William S. and Rosa P. Murray; husbands, Moyer Spigle and Joseph B. Huffman; daughter, Frances Fitzhugh Smith; brothers, Glenn Murray and William S. Murray, Jr.; and sister, Flora M. (Poe) Showalter. A devoted Christian lady, she was a charter member of both the Central and Williamson Road Churches of the Brethren singing in the choirs for many years and enjoying the Dorcas Circle. "Bobba" was a lady blessed with many talents and gifts. She was co-owner of a custom-made hat shop and worked as a bridal consultant. She created beauty around her through sewing, handmade gifts, crafts and her love of flowers and gardening. Bobba's needlework graces the homes of her family, as do her paintings, a hobby she acquired after her retirement. Her family will always remember her "That's not fattening" and "Don't you want a little more?" meals that were prepared with love and grace. A loving parent and grandparent, those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Sara Lou Spigle King and Jim King of Roanoke; grandchildren, Louise Fitzhugh Worley and husband, Jerry, Patricia Fitzhugh Mullins and husband, Jimmy, James (Monty) King, Gayle Fitzhugh Hull and husband, Scott, Ben King and wife, Liz, David Fitzhugh and wife, Barbara, and Elizabeth King Hetz and husband, Andy; great-grandchildren, Erin Dennis and husband James, Jonathan Worley, Jeremy Worley and wife Dina, Katherine Mullins, Charlotte King, Taylor Fitzhugh, Ryan and Lauren Hull, Ethan Hetz and Samone Arnold and husband, Larry; a sister-in-law, Corinne Murray; a close family friend, Wanda King; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express appreciation for the care and concern given by the staff of Two North at Friendship Health Care Center and Good Samaritan Hospice. Memorials may be made to Williamson Road Church of the Brethren, 3110 Pioneer Rd., Roanoke, Va. 24012 or Good Samaritan Hospice, 3825 Electric Road, Suite 202, Roanoke, VA 24018. A service to celebrate her almost 100 years will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2006 at Williamson Road Church of the Brethren. Pastor Richard Gottshall will officiate. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Oakey's North Chapel.
