SPIGGLE, CARL WILLIAM
A tragic accident caused the death of William Spiggle, interesting little son of Mr. & Mrs. Carl Spiggle of Edinburg, Va. on Tuesday (22 Oct 1935).
The little one was scalded when a pan of boiling water turned over o him as he tried to reach it on the table where it had been left only a moment before.
Dr. Stoneburner rendered first aid & the child was rushed to Memorial Hospital, Winchester, Va. & he died shortly after reaching the hospital.
"Billie" as he was affectionately called was an unusually bright & attractive child just eleven months & 12 days old.
The family have the heartfelt sympathy of many friends in the loss of this their only child.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. R. L. Moore assisted by Rev. O. B. Michael in the home on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock with interment at Union
Pallbearers were 4 young boys Paul Wisman, Billy Hawkins, John Evans & Harold Bowman. The beautiful flowers were carried by ten little girls.
