DIXMONT – Lisa passed away April 20, 2013, surrounded by her family at home after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. She was born July 27, 1960, in Millinocket, to Jeanne Morgan and Edward Spiers.

She graduated from Brewer High School in 1979. Lisa worked as a housekeeper at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, from 1984 until she retired from complications with her multiple sclerosis in 1999.

She was predeceased by her husband of 24 years, Raymond C. Ramsey Jr.; and father-in-law, Raymond Sr. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Jeanne Morgan and Charles Wolfenbarger of Eugene, Ore.; father and stepmother, Edward and Norma Spiers of St. Francis; three children, William and wife, Malorie Ramsey, of Dixmont, James R. Ramsey of Portland, and Brandy Lee McEwen of New Sharon; mother-in-law, Ethel Ramsey; sisters-in-law, Ethel Heckman and Lucretia Smith, both of Waterville, and Rae Ann Oakes and husband, Peter, of East Machias; two grandchildren, James Wayne Ramsey and Paige Lynne Ramsey of Dixmont; aunt and uncle, Marilyn and Henry Freeman of Millinocket; stepbrother, Jody Spiers of New Canada; half brother, Darren Spiers and Amy Grogg, both of Ohio; and special friends, Karen Jackson and Steven Newman of Orrington.

There will be no formal service at Lisa’s request. Condolences may be sent to the family care of Willam Ramsey, 1185 Western Ave., Dixmont, ME 04932.
