He is survived by his parents; grandmother, Betty P. Spencer of Washington, D.C.; grandfather, Melvin Spencer of Silver Spring, Md.; grandparents, Rodney and Ethel Johnson of Lake Charles; and many other relatives and supportive friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Carl Spencer; and a sister, Rachel Cecilia Spencer.
