OBITUARY
The News (Frederick, MD) - October 23, 1953

Paul Philip Specht, formerly of Buckeystown but residing for the past 20 years in Martinsburg, W. Va., died Sunday afternoon at Martinsburg City Hospital, aged 49 years.

He had been suffering from a heart condition the past five years and became seriously ill August 10. He was assistant to the general manager of the Standard Lime and Stone Company, Martinsburg, with which he had been associated since 1923. Born Jan. 24, 1904, he spent his early life in Buckeystown. He was a member of Trinity Methodist church of Martinsburg.

A son of the late Altha Lee and Alice Magaha Specht, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jeannette Hoffmaster Specht, Martingburg, two brothers and a sister, Lewis E. Specht, Buckeystown; Walter L. Specht, Baltimore, and Mrs. Chester Cissel, Adamstown.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. Interment in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.
