Sandy, 54, died peacefully after a courageous battle against cancer. She was surrounded by her beloved family on her 33rd wedding anniversary and in her husband's arms.
She was to Peter & Bernadine Spatz. After growing up in Wisconsin Dells, Sandy attended Concordia University in River Forest, IL, where she met her soul mate and husband, Thomas Roger Crum.
On Feb. 28, 1976, they were married and were blessed with four terrific and very successful children. Sandy was a loving and caring wife, also a mother who always put their needs before her own. She loved life and all the wonders God gave her, being especially fond of watching basketball, especially when her children played and her husband coached. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, rubber stamping, reading, her day-care kids and staff, but most importantly being a wife and mother. She was a serendipitous businesswoman with multiple start-up businesses including being a top-ten Midwest Home Interiors and Gifts Consultant, Country Charm Rubber Stamps, a nationally recognized store in Cambridge that later re-located to Sun Prairie and Country Charm Child Care in Lodi.
Sandra is survived by her husband, two sons, two daughters, a daughter-in-law, and his wife, daughter, two grandchildren, her father, and three sisters.
Sandra's mother Bernadine Spatz preceded her in death. Celebration of Sandra's life was held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Pastor Marion Hendrickson & Pastor James Pingel officiating. Burial followed at the Newport Lutheran Cemetery.
