Orpha M. Barnett, 92, of Middletown, died Thursday, October 25, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Wolfe County, Kentucky on December 17, 1919 to parents Walter H. Sr. and Pearl F. (O'Hair) Sparks.
Orpha worked as a legal secretary for Kitchen, Singer & Roland for 25 years, retiring in 1985. She was an active member of Eastview Baptist Church and was also active in the community.
Mrs. Barnett is survived by her brother, Charles Edward Sparks; and numerous nieces, nephews, family & friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Barnett in 1973; parents; and brother, Walter H. Sparks Jr.
Funeral Service at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Dwaine Tilford and James Porter officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
