Lydia (Sparks) Bauguess and her family moved to Marion Twp., Owen Co., IN during the early to mid 1840s. Some of her Sparks relatives were also settling Owen Co. at the time. The 1850 census of Marion Twp., Owen Co., IN showed Lydia with three of her children:

Lydia (Sparks) Bauguess and some of her children moved from Owen Co., IN to Martin Twp. and Oblong Twp., both in Crawford Co., IL in about 1850-52. She died there on Aug. 17, 1856. She was buried in the New Hebron Cemetery, which is located in Honey Creek Twp., which adjoins Martin Twp. on the east.
