Jessie and his twin brother, William, inherited the family farm in Boston, TN, where his parents, Jesse and Millie Sparkman, had lived since relocating to Williamson Co. from Greene Co., NC (by way of Beaufort and Hertford Cos.) around 1807 up until their deaths. As are the bulk of the couple's descendants who remained in the community, they may be interred in Sparkman Cemetery. The last known address of Jessie's brother, Allen Stanton Sparkman, in 1880, a few years before his death, was in Boston in the household of his niece, Mrs. Thomas Benton Shaw, and he may also be interred in the cemetery.
