Ruth Virginia Borovy, 76, of Sunbridge Nursing Home and formerly of French Creek, died Friday, Oct, 5, 2007, in Sunbridge Nursing Home in Glenville.

She was born July 3, 1931, at Gallipolis, Ohio, a daughter of the late John Clarence and Delila Alice Sovine Sowards. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Ruth and Doyle W. Tenney of French Creek; one granddaughter, Pamela Tenney of French Creek; and two grandsons, Doyle W. Tenney Jr. and wife, Julie, of Rock Cave and Philip John Tenney and wife, Kathryn, of French Creek; two great-grandchildren, Nora Elizabeth Tenney and Philip John Tenney II. Also surviving are two sisters, Pauline Meade of North Carolina and Mildred Sowards of Hurricane.

She was preceded in death by one brother and eight sisters.

Friends will be received at Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Graveside services will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery at Hemlock. Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
