Funeral service for Nona Pearl Bunch, longtime Snyder resident, is set for 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Henson, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bunch, 79, died Thursday, March 4, in Cogdell Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born Jan. 7, 1925 in O’Brien, she married Olin Bunch on Nov. 14, 1947 in Vernon.
Mrs. Bunch was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. At one time, Mrs. Bunch operated the Newcomers Welcome Wagon in Snyder and worked part-time for Feather Printing. She later worked in customer relations for Furr’s Supermarkets and for Lawrence IGA and was currently employed at the Scurry County Library.
Survivors include her husband, Olin Bunch of Snyder; two sons and daughters-in-law, Travis and Joan Bunch of Snyder and Win and Pam Bunch of Houston; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Mike Phelan of Allen; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Morris and Lorene Southall of Brownwood, Berle and Wanda Southall of Euless and Don and Iona Southall of Potosi; grandchildren, Carly and Melissa Clark of Austin, Lindsey Bunch of San Marcos, Stacey Bunch of Lubbock and Dylan Bunch of Snyder; and a great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Clark of Austin.
Family visitation will be held from 6 to 7 this evening at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church.
