|Death: ||Jun. 12, 1911|
She was born Turvanda Najarian in Malatya, Turkey to Hagop and Varter Mardigian Najarian. She married Avedis Sookiasian on July 16, 1910 and shortly after they moved to 815 Columbia Avenue. The following year she died a week and a half after giving birth to her daughter from puerperal septicemia caused by the delivery (also called blood poisoning). The death certificate refers to her as Anna, which would be an Americanizing of her name. Her daughter, named Turvanda after her, died a month and a half later of enteritis. They were both buried at the American Mechanics Cemetery which was later closed and they were moved to Philadelphia Memorial Park in 1951.
