Billings Matron Dies in Hospital
Mrs. Antonia S. Chapa, age 58, Billings, died Sunday in a local hospital. She had been a patient for one day.
Mrs. Chapa was born in LaVeta, Mexico, Oct. 18, 1899, to Mr. and Mrs. Nieves Solis. She married Epifanio Chapa in Los Angeles, Calif., Jan. 27, 1928. The couple moved to Pompeys Pillar and moved to their present home on Rt. 2 in 1948. She was a member of the Assembly of God church.
Surviving are a husband; a son by a previous marriage, Claudio Gonzales of California; a step-son, Alex Solis of Butte; six daughters, Miss Benedicta Chapa and Miss Neva Chapa, both of the family home, Miss Racheal Chapa of Michigan, Mrs. Cruz Garca of California, Mrs. Mauricia Garza of Texas, and Mrs. Ernestina Kittleman of Michigan, and 13 grandchildren.
Interment at Ballantine cemetery.
