Daughter of W.J. "Bill" and Gladie Cobb Sockwell. Wife of H. Rob Bell. Mother of Craig Bell. Helen Jo graduated from Gibsonville High School in NC. She received a teaching degree from Elon College (NC), and a master's degree from Nova University in Florida. She was an elementary school teacher for 31 years. Her passion was gardening, and she loved to share both her produce and her flowers with her many friends. She had been a lifelong member of Apple's Chapel Christian Church in NC.
