Joy Snyder Landrum 63, of Burkburnett passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in Wichita Falls.

Services will be Thursday, May 24, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Burkburnett with the Rev. Don Pellikan and the Rev. Bob Lee officiating.

Interment will follow in the Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.

Joy was born May 14, 1949, to Martha Eloise (Johnson) Snyder and George Arnold Snyder, in Lincoln, Illinois.

She lived in Lincoln, Illinois until she was six years old. She then moved to Wichita Falls, Texas at 8 years old and then to Iowa Park, Texas where she remained until graduating from Iowa Park High School. Joy worked at Dowell Chemical and at Haliburton as a bookkeeper.

Joy Married Lynn Landrum and moved to Burkburnett where together they raised their family. Joy liked to Tole Paint and sew and was an avid antique collector. She was an animal lover and especially loved her pet Peacocks. She was also a plant enthusiast with an experienced "green thumb".

Joy was preceded in death by her parents. Her mother passed away in April of 1992 and her dad in November of 1949; She was also preceded in death by her beloved "Grandpa" Johnson. She is survived by her loving husband Lynn Landrum of Burkburnett, Texas; Daughter Sheila Stephens and her husband Rodney and their children Taylor, Molly and Ryan from Comanche, Texas; daughter, Jodi and her husband, Tad Childress and their children Payton, Blake and Meagan from McKinney, Texas; Daughter Lynlee and her husband Mark Krotzer and their children, Bailee and Emmalee from Burkburnett, TX.; She is also survived by her dear friend and special caregiver, Lane Anderson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Joy's home church, Children's Logos Ministry at First United Methodist Church, 301 Fourth St., Burkburnett, TX, 76354.
