SNYDER, MARVIN, 90, native of Louisville, of Winslow, IN, died Thursday, September 8, 2011. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was retired owner of Snyder's Department store in Winslow. He was a 50-year or longer member of many national organizations including the Hadi Shrine, American Legion, Kiwanis and numerous religious organizations. He was a charter member of the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. He was an avid golfer and well known for his philanthropic endeavors. He is survived by his loving niece, Sonja Eskind; and nephew, Larry Eskind. Expressions of sympathy may be made to donor's favorite charity. Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday in Anshei Sfard Cemetery. Herman Meyer & Son is in charge of arrangements.
