Dolores E. Allen, 84, of New Philadelphia died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, in Union Hospital at Dover following a period of declining health. A daughter of the late Jess and Mary Snyder, Dolores was born Aug. 4, 1926, at Germano, Ohio. Dolores was a 1944 graduate of Jewett High School and in the same year she married the love of her life, Harold W. "Bill" Allen. During their 66 years of marriage, Dolores and Bill were nearly inseparable. She retired as a sales clerk from Walker's Clothing Store at Canton where Bill also worked. The couple cherished their daily rides together to and from work. They also enjoyed traveling together, visiting many places throughout the United States and Canada.
