Bernice Brooks Snyder, a music teacher, passed away December 27, 1998 in a local hospital.

Bernice was born in Grapeland, Texas on January 20, 1913 to Charles and Elma Brooks. She was a resident of Corpus Christi for 60 years. Bernice worked as a bridal consultant and a fashion director for Lichtenstein, and worked as a dental assistant with her husband. She later owned and operated a music studio, and a member of the Thursday Music Club. She was a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and regularly contributed her musical talents for the enrichment of the congregation. Bernice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-­grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Carl M. Snyder and her sister, Beryl Denny Brewer. Bernice is survived by her daughter, Ann (Joseph) Samman; granddaughter, Carrie (Jeff) Barnett; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Sarah Barnett; niece, Deanna Denny; great-nieces and nephew Gretchen, Alan, and Anne Johnson.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 1998 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
