Ursula was brought up as a child in Orrington, Maine. During her years in Maine she also lived in Deer Island and Pittsfield. Ursula attended public school at Ellsworth, Maine; South East Harbor; Deer Isle.

While living in Pittsfield, ME there was no public high school, so she went as a day student to Maine Central Institute. She entered M.C.I. in 1913 and graduated in 1917. While there she participated in and was awarded the following honors: Alumni Prize: Speaking; Junior & Senior Plays; Trumpet Board; Class Historian; Normal Course. Her Address while attending M.C.I. - Palmyra, Maine. (Taken from class book)

Ursula was the first woman to work as a soda "jerk" in Pittsfield, Maine. She worked in the local Rexall Drug Store. Ursula went to Boston to be a tutor to a family who lived on Beacon Street. She eventually went to work for the Employers of Boston.

Ursula Married Arthur Dudley Boutillier June 18, 1923 in Pittsfield, Maine. Arthur and Ursula had three children, Joyce Elizabeth, Arthur Dudley Jr., and Robert Snow Boutillier.

After her marriage, she lived first in Massachusetts, then in Rhode Island and finally in Connecticut. While in Massachusetts she was a First Aid instructor, participated in a PTA play at Cranston High School. In all the different towns and States that she lived in was always active in civic organizations.
