Mrs Alice Edna Dean of Pennsylvania Furnace died in the Centre County Hospital Tuesday at 9 pm. Born Jan 12,1896 in New Lancaster,Snyder county, she was the daughter of Jacob and Ada Snook.She was married to James Albert Dean who died Nov 1,1953. She is survived by one daughter Mrs Glenn Strouse,State College RD, four sons James C Dean,Clair W Dean,Clarence L Dean all of Pennsylvania Furance and Wilbur Dean of Warriors Mark. Also surviving are a brother Orvis Snook,Mount Union,Six sisters,Mrs Laura Poorman Lock Haven,Mrs Edith Stapleton and Mrs Esther Stapleton both of Huntingdon, Mrs Dorothy Utley of Mount Union,Mrs Verna Metz,Chambersburg,Mrs Emma Martin,Bellefonte RD.She is also survived by nine grand children and two Great grandchildren.She attended the Baileyville Community Church.Funeral services will be held at the Koch Funeral Home on Friday at 10:30 am with Rev A Claude Clever officiating.Interment will be in the Graysville Cemetery.Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 pm.
