COLUMBIA - A memorial service for Jana Azpiri, 44, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at Old Lexington Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. John McKeown and Rev. Jim McMillan. The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall at the church. Woodridge Funeral Home is assisting the family. Mrs. Azpiri passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012. Born in Prosperity, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Lawson Snipes and Betty Boatwright Williams. She was a graduate of Gilbert High School. Mrs. Azpiri was a 20 year employee of the Waffle House. She was a loving mother and sister who will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind. Surviving is her husband, Jose Azpiri of Columbia; daughter, Gabriella Burke; son, Connor Burke of Leesville; sisters, Brenda Smith (Bill) of Leesville, Ellen Greenwald (Doug) of Gilbert and Trina Mabus (Mark) of Batesburg; brothers, Steve Snipes of Columbia, James Snipes (Lisa) of West Columbia and Bud Snipes of Leesville; six nieces and nephews; seven great nieces and nephews; and a large and loving extended family.
