Snyder - Monday, Nov. 12, 1906, at 4:13 p.m., at her home four miles west of Severy, Mrs. S. Snyder, aged 62 years, 10 months and 19 days.

Sarah Lucretia Mann was born December 23, 1843 at Columbus, Ohio; was married to Sheldon Snyder Oct. 2, 1863, at St. Francisville, Clark County, Mo. They moved to Greenwood county in 1884 where they have resided ever since. The deceased was converted when quite young and united with the Free Baptist church at Keukuk, Iowa, and was baptised at that time, after moving to Greenwood county she united with the Salem Free Baptist church and was a church member at the time of her death, having lived a faithful christian life all these years. Mrs. Snyder has been a great sufferer for a long time and yet her christian faith she never complained, never became discouraged and died in the belief and faith of a happy life on the other side. She is spoken of by her neighbors as an excellent woman and was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed by her many friends and neighbors. She is survived by her husband who has the heartfelt sympathy of all in his great loss.

The deceased also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Maria Watts, Galesburg, Ill., Mrs. Mary Townsman and Mrs. Anna Greek, of Keukuk, Iowa and one brother, John Mann, Galesburg, Ill.

Funeral services were held at the house Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. Rogers, pastor of the Salem Free Baptist church and the remains were laid to rest in Twin Groves cemetery.
