Karen Denise Alvord, 44, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at her home.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Turner- Robertshaw Funeral Home.
All other services will be private.
Ms. Alvord was born in Front Royal, VA on March 11, 1971, the daughter of Carl David and Dorothy Mae Woodard Smoot.
She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She was Baptist by faith.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Alvord is survived by her daughters, Misty Whittaker and Kayla Whittaker, both of Front Royal; her brothers, Teddy Smoot of Middletown and Jason Smoot of Front Royal; and her very special grandson, Jeremiah Darrect.
Ms. Alvord was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Lee Smoot.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Turner-Robertshaw Funeral for her funeral fund.
