The Browns lived in South Dakota until 1914 when they moved to Hobson. Brown died in 1926. Mrs Brown lived in California from 1926 to 1958 when she returned to Hobson to make her home. She was a member of the Hobson Methodist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Faye Hoven, Mrs. Hazelle McLean, Pendelton, Ore., Mrs. Marjorie Muir, Monterey, Calif., and Mrs. Mildred Fiese, Fresno, Calif; three sons, Floyd of Portland, Ore., Kenneth and Leslie of Monterey, Calif., 14 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren and many great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the Hobson Methodist Church Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Laurence Morley officiating. Interment will be in the Philbrook Cemetery. Friends may call at the Creel-Gurnett-Retz chapel until noon Tuesday.
