Birth: Aug. 13, 1860
Death: Aug. 9, 1947

"Ma" Pullen. Known as "Mother of the North." Entrepreneur. Hotelier. Baker. Horse team driver and onetime packer. Arrived in Skagway for the Gold Rush of 1897 and became one of Skagway's most influential citizens. President Warren G. Harding delivered an address at her hotel, The Pullen House.

It is important to note that Mrs. Pullen is not buried in the Gold Rush Cemetery. She is buried along the WP&YR railroad tracks adjacent to where the Pullen House hotel once stood in accordance with her wishes.
