The wife of George Dale born 1822 died 1864.
George died fall 1864 of disease in the civil
war somewhere in Virginia. Company D 6th regt.
pvt. They were married about 1847. George's
father was John H. Dale born 1793 and his mother
was Mary. Nancy applied for George's pension
from serving in the civil war but she was
denied. I don't know where George is buried
but you'll notice the white field stone
beside Nancy's grave. This could be it or he
could be buried in Virginia.
