Dunbar, Frances Smith,

90, of Louisville, entered eternal life on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Born April 30, 11924 in Russell County, she was the daughter of the late John Willie and Bessie Coffey Smith.

She was a devoted follower of Christ for over 78 years, loving and serving her family and leaving for them an incredible example of Christ's humility, always putting others before herself. She was also a retired employee of PNC (formerly Citizens Fidelity Bank) and a member of the Louisville Separate Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Quentin Dunbar; a son, Kenton Smith Dunbar; two brothers, Curtis and Carmel "Bill" Smith; and a sister, Manice Smith Wilson.

She is survived by one son, Barry Michael (Brenda) Dunbar; one daughter, Lisa Dunbar (Donnie) Finch; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Curvan "Buster" (Wanda) Smith; and a sister, Marie Smith Popplewell Osborne.

Her funeral will be 1 p.m. (CST) Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N.Main St., Russell Springs, KY. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. (EST) Friday at Schoppenhorst Underwood-Brooks, 4895 N. Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY, and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. (CST) at Bernard Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Square Oak Cemetery.
