Bonnie Lou Arnold, 59, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday (March 15, 2015) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal, after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by those she loved.

Bonnie was born April 15, 1955, in Bloomington, the daughter of Kenneth Howard and Bettie Lou Young Smith. She graduated from Villa Grove High School in 1973. She married Ozna Dale Arnold on May 11, 1974. He survives in Bloomington.

Other survivors include her father, Kenneth Howard "Mick" Smith, Villa Grove; mother, Bettie Lou Young Smith, Bloomington; one sister, Julie Milsap, Tolono; four brothers, David Smith, Kenneth Smith, Steve Martin and Brian Smith, all of Bloomington; two stepsisters, Betty (Jim) Ludwig, Tuscola, and Virginia Martin, Missouri; one stepbrother, Edward Wahls, Bloomington; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Smith; brother, Robert "Bob" Smith; sister, Sherry Ann Smith; and stepbrother, Charles Wahls.

Bonnie enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. She also enjoyed needlepoint sewing and making latch hook rugs.

Previous employers included Afni Inc. and Sugar Creek Packing.
