Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 1 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Dugas officiating.
Interment followed in the Robertson County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Smith was born Oct. 9, 1917 in Overton County to the late Floyd & Nancy Elizabeth (Nanny Bowman Newberry.
She was a retired cafteria worker for the former Jesse Holman Jones Hospital.
She was member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Taylor Smith, and brothers, Leslie, Herman, Ernest, & Horace Newberry.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Roy David & Janet Smith of Cedar Hill, Frank & Debbie Smith of Greenbrier, and daughter and son-in-law, Juanita & Gerald Dorris, Sr. of Springfield: 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren & 10 great-great-grandchildren.
