Christine "Christy" Jackson, 40 of Converse, passed away on Monday, December, 26, 2011 in Lewisville, Tx. Born on September 10, 1971 in Conrad, Montana, she was the daughter of late Louis G. Smith and late Sylvia Loop Smith. Christy was a loving and devoted wife who took an active role in assisting the unwanted, disabled children in the Philippines through her role in the HUGS Foundation; who loved sponsoring the recovery of many birds of prey at Last Chance Forever; who stood firmly by her Creator by volunteering at the Creation Evidence Museum; and who donated thousands of hours to assist and love friends and others in the church and community. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Harry W. Jackson; Sister Melody Hirschler and her husband Thomas of McHenry, IL; Brothers Daniel Smith and his wife Zdenka of Westmont, IL and Paul Smith of Portage, IN. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Colonial Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 7:00 PM.
