MOUNDRIDGE — Luvina Koehn, 95, died on Thursday (Nov. 17, 2011) at Moundridge Manor in Moundridge. She was born on June 6, 1916, in Greensburg to Henry and Elizabeth (Unruh) Smith. On Nov. 8, 1936, she married Hermon Koehn in Halstead. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 2002. Luvina was a member of Eden Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Burns. She is survived by four sons and their wives, Bob and Yvonne Koehn of Burns, Gilbert and Delores Koehn of Moundridge, Laurel and Nelda Koehn of Farmington, Ky., and Roger and Geneva Koehn of Burns; one daughter-in-law, Arlene Koehn of Burns; one sister, Mildred Dir of Moundridge; 18 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Chester Koehn; a daughter, Sherrie Koehn; one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Koehn; one infant brother, Arnold Smith; four brothers, Lloyd, Dennis, Davy and Eldon Smith; and three sisters, Ruby Dir, Malina Dir and Emma Koehn. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Eden Church of God in Christ Mennonite in Burns. Roland Koehn and Kenneth Smith are presiding ministers. Memorials may be left with Moundridge Manor in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
