Valorie L. (Smith) Collier
Valorie L. (Smith) Collier, 42, Morristown, died Thursday in Greenfield.
Born Aug. 5, 1955, in Binghamton, N.Y., she was the daughter of Orman and Anna (Jackson) Smith. She was married to the Rev. Phillip B. Collier, and he survives.
Mrs. Collier was a homemaker and the youth minister at Blue River Friends Church.
She was a 1973 graduate of Sanderson High School, Raleigh, N.C., and a 1990 graduate of the University of Louisville. In 1996, she received a master of arts degree from Asbury Theological Seminary.
She was a member of the Golden Key Honor Society.
Survivors include her husband, Morristown; three brothers, Jeff Smith, Raleigh, N.C., Glenn Smith, Colorado, and Mark Smith; and two sisters, Diana Green, Raleigh, N.C., and Sharon Pocock, Garland, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Walnut Ridge Friends Church, Carthage, with the Revs. Allen Collier and Michael T. Powers officiating. Bruial will be in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Asbury College.
Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary, Greenfield.
