Jessie Myers Beyers, 93, of Greenfield died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at Ashford Place Health Campus.
Born Aug. 13, 1916, in London, Ky., she was the daughter of Austin and Louisa (Patterson) Smith. She married Lincoln Myers on May 23, 1936, and he preceded her in death in 1995. She married Ralph Beyers on April 21, 2001, and he preceded her in death on July 18, 2009.
Survivors include her children, Ronald (wife, Alma) Myers Greenfield, David (wife, Diane) Myers of Indianapolis, Rita (husband, David) Dodd of Fishers, Roger (wife, Glendora) Beyers of Greenfield, Joe (wife, Marjorie) Beyers of Charlottesville, John (wife, Elaine) Beyers of Evansville and Jim (wife, Charlew) Beyers of Knightstown; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard Myers; granddaughter, Rita Bennett; sister, Nellie; and brothers, Bill, Thurman and Curtis.
Mrs. Beyers was a farm wife and homemaker for many years. After her children were grown, she was a bookkeeper for Tweedy Lumber Co. in Carthage.
She graduated from Morristown High School in 1934.
Mrs. Beyers was a member of Shiloh Christian Church and First Church of God, where she was secretary and treasurer for many years.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Erlewein Mortuary, 1484 W. U.S. Highway 40 in Greenfield.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the mortuary, with the Rev. Fred Girdwood and Pastor Russell Jarvis officiating.
Burial will be in Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God or Shiloh Christian Church, with envelopes provided by the mortuary.
