She is survived by 3 daughters, Susan Crawford (Brian) of Monmouth, Martie Uden (Lanny) of Overland Park, Kansas, and Terry Herschell (Bob) of Lawrence, Kansas, 1 son, Peter Bernier (Julie) of Verbena, Alabama, 3 sisters, Maydell Cole of Galesburg, Edell Richards of Odessa, Texas, and Marci Clark of Seguin, Texas, and a sister-in-law, Fernande Bernier of Dover, New Hampshire.

Doris grew up in San Antonio, Texas, married Paul Bernier, and moved to Gorham, New Hampshire. They moved to Galesburg in 1960. She retired as a supervisor of the kitchens at The Kensington, Seminary Manor, and Seminary Estates after many years of loyal service.
Doris was a devoted mother, a loving and caring grandmother and great grandmother, and a dear and loyal friend. She enjoyed most of all interacting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she loved going to basketball games with her friends.
She will be dearly missed by her loved ones. We are sure she is busy organizing and cooking meals for all the heavenly angels as she did for all her earthly angels. We will miss you Mom.
