There were four children born to this union; Clarence E Hammond, born 1901 in Johnson County & died in 1998 in St. Louis, Missouri; Freddie Hammond, born 1902 in Johnson County & died in 1903 in Johnson County; Bertha Maybel (Hammond) Dawson, born 19 Feb 1901or 1903 in Johnson County & died 8 Jan 1971 at Lynn, Lawrence County, Arkansas; and Myrtle Hammond, born 1905 in Johnson County and died 1905 in Johnson County. By looking at the date when Myrtle was born, 1905 and the date that Maud died, 1905, it looks like Maud & Myrtle both died at child birth. The names and dates on the tombstone indicates that Maud, Freddie and Myrtle are all buried together.
