Sibyl Lea Baker Sibyl Lea Baker, born in the Orting Valley December 6, 1919, passed away peacefully at home in Graham, surrounded by her family, October 11, 2011. While still young, Sibyl's family moved to Washington's Pennisula around the Port Townsend area of Irondale, returning to the Orting Valley during berry picking season to make extra money for the family. This she did with her brother Wayne and living with their Grandmother Hulda Harris in McMillin. This is also when she met her mate for life, Sidney M. Baker. They were married in Port Townsend on October 3, 1937, and raised their family in Pierce County, SE of Tacoma. Sibyl is survived by her children Verna Comeau(Peter), Raymond Baker, Beverly Jensen, and Vivian Bouta (Larry), and ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, thirty great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Florine Nelson and Doris Broderson, and one brother, Jack Smith. Sibyl was preceded in death by her husband Sidney M. Baker, and two brothers, Wayne Smith and Gerald Smith.
