Mrs. Bond Dies At Sumas
News of the death of Mrs. Myrtle Bond which occurred at Sumas last Tuesday was received here yesterday. Mrs. Bond left here the first of the week expecting to be operated upon at that place. Then comes the news of her death, but with particulars lacking.

Joins Father In Great Beyond
The news of the sudden death of Mrs. Myrtle Bond, who died in Sumas, Wash. August 6, came as a distinct shock to her many friends in Kent. Mrs. Bond, nee Smith, came to Kent with the Lysander Smith family, of which family she was a member. She was born in Washington, Kansas, September 8, 1876 and was married to Loren Bond, September 30, 1909 [sic]. She was united with the Kent Methodist Episcopal church, by letter, February 10, 1895. Mrs. Bond leaves a number of warm friends in Kent, her family of four children: Charlotte, Walter, Hubert and Alberta, two brothers, Albert and Ziba L. Smith and one sister, Mrs. George Saar. Funeral Services were held in the Chittenden Undertaking Parlors, Sunday, August 11, the Rev. Spencer S. Sulliger officiating. Interment was made in the Methodist cemetery, north of Kent.
